Novgorod residents were told that a delay in wages threatens a fine of up to 500 thousand rubles

Employers face a fine of up to 500 thousand rubles for delay in wages. This was recalled by a lawyer in the field of labor law and labor protection Rinat Shaidullin, writes NEWS.RU.

Thus, if the salary is delayed for more than two months, the employer may face not only a large fine – from 100 to 500 thousand rubles – but also criminal punishment up to three years in prison.

At the same time, even a one-day delay does not remain without consequences: according to Part 6 of Art. 5.27 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation, the company can be brought to administrative responsibility. The fine for a legal entity will be from 30 to 50 thousand rubles - and it will have to be paid separately for each employee who did not transfer the salary on time.

In addition, the employer is obliged to compensate employees for the delay. Its minimum size is 1/150 of the current key rate of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation from the amount of debt for each day of delay.
