Over the past year, the number of companies offering takeaway food and delivery has increased in St. Petersburg. Expert Pavel Lyulin explained this boom by changing the habits of citizens, said in argumenti.ru. In his opinion, people are less willing to spend time on cooking or long gatherings in establishments, preferring to quickly pick up a ready lunch or dinner on the way.

Secondly, this format is beneficial for business. Starting a kitchen that works only for delivery and couriers is much cheaper than opening a full-fledged restaurant with a hall, an expensive interior and a large staff of waiters.

Buying food with you attracts customers and financially: it is much cheaper than a classic restaurant and often more profitable delivery to the house, where you have to pay extra for the logistics of services. Because of this, competition has intensified in the market: now traditional establishments have to compete not only with each other, but also with supermarket cookery, as well as with “dark kitchens”.
