What to pay attention to and how to strengthen psychological well-being, explained the Kaliningrad Center for Public Health and Medical Prevention.
One of the signs of a stable psyche is the ability to recognize your own emotions. A person understands when he is angry, sad or happy, and can describe his condition in words.
Equally important are relationships with others. The opportunity to share experiences with at least one or two close people helps not to be left alone with their difficulties.
Another sign is the ability to adapt to change. Unexpected circumstances can upset plans, but the person manages to gradually accept the new situation and find a way out. Also important are the interest in life, the ability to enjoy simple things and the willingness to ask for help.
For psychological well-being, it is useful to find 10-15 minutes daily to rest in silence, without the phone, music and other distractions. It’s also worth keeping in touch with people outside of work and social media.
It is important not to ask yourself for perfection. The desire to always meet high expectations can be a source of additional stress, so you need to allow yourself to be wrong and recognize your limitations.
Physical condition is directly related to psychological well-being. Lack of sleep and hunger can increase anxiety, so it is important to monitor your rest and eating habits.
