The Rosselkhoznadzor revealed violations in the inspection of meat products of the enterprise from the Volga district of the Ivanovo region. In September, specialists of the department selected samples of goods for laboratory research.
The results of the analysis showed a discrepancy between the actual composition of products and the declared recipe. Chicken DNA was found in the samples, although the use of poultry meat in this product was not envisaged.
Such discrepancies can mislead buyers and complicate the control of the origin of raw materials, as well as the assessment of its quality and safety.
The legal entity was warned. In addition, the certificate of conformity for a batch of products weighing 22 kilograms was canceled. Information about the violations was sent to law enforcement agencies, relevant officials and Rospotrebnadzor for further measures.
