Man loses 48kg when he stops drinking beer
The 45-year-old coach weighed 150kg and ate triple kebabs. What was the turning point for him and how he did not miss training even during a serious illness.

By the age of 30, Nick Drane, a basketball coach from the UK, weighed 150 kilograms with a height of 193 cm. His morning started with three portions of a hearty breakfast (sausages, eggs, cheese), the afternoon went sandwiches with chips, and in the evening he ate a whole chicken grill or triple kebab with mayonnaise. The day ended with liters of beer. Sometimes a man could drink up to 8.5 liters per evening.
The turning point came in August 2020. Nick was horrified to realize that he had drunk more beer and was not drunk at all. The body stopped responding to alcohol.
Drane put an exercise bike in the garage and gave himself an ironclad promise: exercise for 30 minutes every day. And he kept his word. The man admits that he pedaled even during the coronavirus infection, fighting nausea, and on the worst days when he buried his father or friends. Not one pass in six years! He later added push-ups to cardio and then moved on to full strength training in the hall.
In parallel, Nick radically revised his diet, almost completely giving up fast food and alcohol. The result is impressive: for six years of hard work, the Briton lost 48 kilograms, regaining his health and getting rid of a third of his former weight.
