Many people refuse pork in favor of beef, considering it healthier. But as it turns out, that's not always the case. Nutritionist Galina Anisena told in which cases pork wins.
First, pork fat is absorbed by the body better than all other animal fats. So, less stress on the stomach and intestines, lower risk of digestive problems.
Second, pork has more vitamin B3 than beef. It is important for the nervous system – it helps to keep the nerves in order.
Third, pork is rich in selenium. And selenium is thyroid health and beautiful skin. That's a nice bonus.
And the other thing is the price. Lent pork tenderloin is cheaper than beef, and there are few calories in it. The main thing is not to get carried away: a nutritionist advises to eat no more than 250 g per day and combine with vegetables.
By the way, pork is rich in other utilities: almost 35% of the daily value of vitamin B1, and vitamins B4, B6, PP, potassium, phosphorus, zinc, chromium and molybdenum.
