In the sample of fish revealed a discrepancy in the indicator of “yeast”, reported in the Tver testing laboratory.
The study of the sample of dried flounder was conducted at the request of the regional management of the Rosselkhoznadzor. According to the results of tests, a discrepancy in the indicator of “yeast” was revealed in the products. For dried fish, the yeast content, according to current standards, should not exceed 100 CFU / g. The actual value was above the established norm.
The laboratory noted that yeast in dried fish products can actively multiply under various conditions: violation of storage conditions, transportation or non-compliance with the temperature and humidity regime at the production stage. Exceeding the content of yeast signals a possible deterioration of the product and a decrease in its quality. The use of such products may not be safe.
The obtained research results were sent to the Rosselkhoznadzor department.
