Employees of the Main Directorate of the Federal Bailiff Service in the Perm Territory fined the bank for intrusive calls to a child

Employees of the Main Directorate of the Federal Bailiff Service in the Perm Territory fined the bank for intrusive calls to a child.
A resident of Perm asked to protect his family from illegal actions of the credit institution. During the administrative investigation, it was found that representatives of the bank systematically called the number used by a minor girl, trying to recover overdue debts from an outsider. At the same time, the parents of the child repeatedly explained to the bank employees that they had nothing to do with the debtor, and asked to exclude the number from the database for calling.
The family submitted applications to the bank's hotline, described the situation in detail and stressed that the constant calls interfered with the child's normal life and distracted from school. However, requests were either not recorded, or employees of the credit institution offered to call the hotline again and again, which was often in standby mode and was inaccessible.
According to the conclusion of the official of the State Financial Service of Russia for the Perm Territory, the bank violated the law: it interacted with third parties without their consent and exerted psychological pressure on the family. Such actions contradict the requirements of the legislation on the protection of the rights of citizens when returning overdue debts. As a result, the joint-stock company was found guilty of committing an administrative offense under Part 1 of Article 14.57 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation, and fined 300,000 rubles.
