Doctor Stoyanova explained how to use a smartphone without harm to the eyes
Ophthalmologist-surgeon, candidate of medical Sciences Gergana Stoyanova told what habits will help reduce the load on the eyes when using a smartphone.

According to Stoyanova, it is better to keep the phone at a distance of 30-40 centimeters from the face. If at this position the text seems too small or fuzzy, the specialist advises to increase the font size in the device settings, and not to bring the screen closer to the eyes.
The doctor paid special attention to the brightness of the display in the evening. Too bright screen can increase visual discomfort, so before going to bed should reduce the brightness and, if necessary, turn on the mode with a warm shade of the screen. This feature, known as yellow filter or night mode, is found in many modern smartphones.
Another important recommendation is to give your eyes rest during prolonged phone use. To do this, Stoyanova suggested focusing on the 20-20-20 rule, which helps to regularly switch attention from close to long distance.
The essence of the rule is simple: after every 20 minutes of working with a smartphone, you need to look at an object located about 20 feet from a person for 20 seconds. It's about six meters. Such a short pause helps to reduce the visual tension that occurs during prolonged concentration on the screen.
