The doctor told how one muscle on the head affects hair loss and wrinkles

There is a muscle on the head that can affect the thickness of the hair or whether wrinkles appear on the forehead and swelling on the face. Russian doctor - orthopedic traumatologist, osteopath, plastic surgeon Ales Ulishchenko explained how aponeurosis works and how to relax it with simple exercises, writes sb.by.

What is aponeurosis and how is it related to the face and hair?

“Aponeurosis is, in fact, the fronto-occipital muscle,” says Ales Ulishchenko. She has a frontal and occipital abdomen, and between them is dense fascial tissue. It is connected with the ear and temporal muscles, with the muscles of the neck and spine, with the entire posterior muscle-fascial chain, up to the feet. It is a single functional unit.

If the back chain is in constant tension, the forehead and skin around the eyes begin to wrinkle, swelling occurs. In addition, the vessels pass through the dense tissue of aponeurosis. Chronic tension of the muscles of the back, neck and aponeurosis leads to premature hair loss: in the region of the crown, less oxygen enters the hair follicles.

- If you regularly work with aponeurosis for at least 5 minutes a day, the hair will become thicker, and wrinkles will begin to smooth out, the doctor assures.

He also notes that even if the tests are normal, hair can fall out due to chronic stress of aponeurosis.

Another reason is hard or chlorinated water. For hair protection, the doctor recommends using filter nozzles.

Check yourself: a test for mobility of aponeurosis

- Raise your eyebrows, smile, feel how relaxed your face is, Ales Ulishchenko suggests. Place your finger pads on your forehead and move your skin up and down. Then check the whiskey and back of your head. Where tissues are inactive, blood supply is always worse.

If the neck does not turn well and tilts, this indicates chronic tension of the posterior muscle-fascial chain. Another test: standing bend over and try to reach your socks with your fingers. Flexibility will show the condition of the back chain.

Exercises to Relax Aponeurosis

The doctor offers a simple complex that will take 5 minutes a day.

First, you need to relax the entire posterior muscle-fascial chain. Sit down, capture aponeurosis, bend your head and stretch, straightening your legs. Get to pretension, no pain. Then breathe: inhale - 5 seconds, exhale - 10 seconds. Repeat three times. The neck will become more flexible.

Then proceed to work with aponeurosis. Sit with an emphasis, bend your head, grab aponeurosis with your hands and pull it forward, push your head up. Breathe. Next, grab a whiskey and start “rolling” tissues on top of each other, compressing and stretching the area with poor blood supply. Do it for a few minutes. At the end, just move your forehead skin up and down.

The result

- After exercise, smile and put your hands on your face. If you feel lightness, heat or burning, then blood flow has improved, the tissues have relaxed, says Ales Ulishchenko. The head starts to work better, the face looks fresh.

The doctor advises to perform the technique daily. Within a few days, you will notice visible results. For more effect, he recommends a special lifting course, but basic exercises are available to everyone.
